Rafael Demarco, PhD

I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in the intersection between stem cell behavior and mitochondrial metabolism. Particularly, my work is focused on understanding whether changes in metabolism can impact stem cell maintenance and activity.

I am originally from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and am always excited to foster and encourage underrepresented groups to participate in STEM research.
