Hayden has just been awarded the very prestigious NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award (F32) which includes 3 years of mentored training, a competitive stipend, and an institutional allowance to help him develop his independent research career. He will be investigating the transcellular mitochondrial transfer in adult stem cells in Drosophila melanogaster.
